About Macadamia St, Victoria Point

Construction Started March 2026 and was completed August 2026

This original 1970s home at Victoria Point was transformed through a carefully considered renovation and extension, with a strong focus on practical construction, cost efficiency and making the most of the existing structure.

A major part of the project involved the removal of the existing A-frame roof. Rather than removing the entire building, we retained the existing floor joists, framing and existing slab where possible. This approach reduced unnecessary demolition and construction costs while allowing us to preserve the home’s existing structure and, importantly, maintain its beautiful views across the bay. The project also included a rear extension to accommodate a new garage, designed to sit discreetly behind the existing street frontage. This provided valuable additional space without compromising the home’s street presentation.

The home was designed with dual living and future flexibility in mind. Separate living areas provide practical options for extended family, guests or independent living, while also allowing the home to adapt as the owners’ needs change over time & provides the flexibility to remain in the home comfortably as they get older, without the need for another major renovation. Simple, durable finishes and a relaxed coastal aesthetic completed the transformation.

Designed by Pride Home Designs & the team at Jux, the project demonstrates how thoughtful construction and careful planning can transform an existing home while retaining what works, reducing unnecessary costs and creating a functional, adaptable home that makes the most of its location & views.
